What would Veronica Tuesdae do?

Tue Nov 10, 2009, 8:11 PM
I've decided to write Rabbits are Roadkill first after all, following much internal debate. I've got it pretty well outlined and I'm quite pleased. It's a story within a story within a story, with a great twist at the end. If you are a Danielewski fan, you will most surely enjoy.

I've deviated a little from the original short story. The main characters names are no longer Julie and Chance, but Haiku Riddle and Michael Reiver. Of course, I've taken out a lot of the AFI references so it doesn't come off as an extended fanfic. The overall style is still the same, and so too remains the apocalyptic storyline.

And who is Veronica Tuesdae? You will have to wait and find out.

  • Listening to: Tiger Army - True Romance
  • Playing: with some cat toys
  • Eating: sunflower seeds
  • Drinking: water with an orange slice

Nothing from nowhere, I'm no one at all

"Why are you all so upset by this anomalous and unrelenting string of catastrophes?"

The only problem I ever had with catastrophe was when someone came along and tried to rhyme it with apostrophe.

She said the sky is falling. She said it was suicide. And I saw the sky move. All around the world, I saw the sky move.

"I love you."

"Who is she?"

"I have no idea who she is."

"Hurt by what she said."

"She needs to pay the price."

Eventually it all comes back to this. Everything goes in circles and when you have nothing left, it all comes back to this. It's a shame, really. All the classics have a beginning and an end but not this. It's like those sadistic shampoo directions: lather, rinse, repeat and it never ends.
